London -based technology firm has never been pleased with its Android Light phones that offer some very necessary conceit in a world full of simple, gray smartphones that take themselves very seriously. Nothing phone and 3a pro are cut from the same cloth as their ancestors, packing solid comprehensive specifications, affordable price tags and a LED -infected design that differs from the crowd.
Nothing nothing phone 3A is the base model in the new series, ranging from $ 379 with 12 GB of RAM and storage 256 GB. In the UK, you can put a protected model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage for only £ 329, or get the 12 GB/256GB model for £ 379. Phone 3a Pro has a fuller camera system than base 3a, but shares the same processor, screen and battery. It costs $ 459 (£ 449) for the 12 GB/256 GB model.
I tested nothing on the 3A pole phone while I was on the ground in Barcelona for last week’s Mobile World Congress. I am very interested in the price and performance balance of the phone and look forward to seeing how it accumulates against other affordable phones like the new Samsung Galaxy A and Google Pixel 8A series – as well as the most valuable budget phones like the iPhone 16e.

Nothing on the lit telephone model 3a
Lighting lights? Yes, please.
Design is the first thing about these phones. Glass return reveals screws and data strips, giving it an industrial view that I find attractive. LED lights – which nothing calls glyph – are scattered around the camera units on both phones and turned on to warn you of incoming notifications. They are an entertainment addition to phones and nothing you will find anywhere else.
Both phones have 6.7 -inch screens that looked bright and alive during my hands, easily opposing the gray, cloudy weather of Barcelona. Those under the bright sun of the California noon can have a different experience. With an estimate of IP68 water resistance, calling on the rain that is poured (again, not you, California) will not be a problem.

Nothing phone 3a and 3a pro performance
The screen is vibrant and sharp.
Strengthening 3A series is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 processor, which provided good results in our standard tests, especially taking into account the price of phones. While not leading today’s flag phones, the 3A Pro results are more compatible with Pixel 8A and Galaxy A35 5G, both are excellent phones.
In everyday use, the phone has a lot of power for essential tasks, while games like Odyssey and Alto vampire survivors ran smoothly.

Nothing phone 3a and he
Both phones run Android 15 at their core, but nothing has been very customized with a harsh, monochrome aesthetic. It looks shiny, but sometimes I struggle to distinguish app icons when they are reduced to minimalist black and white buttons. However, you can be in the mono look, and if not, you can adjust the layout to your liking. Nothing promises a total of six years of software and security support, which is good, especially considering the price.
Advanced twins, Live Gemini and Circle to search are all available for use on phones, and while nothing has thrown in most of his things (for which I am grateful), she has launched a tool I like a lot. Called the essential space, it is created as a central center for storing your thoughts, notes, pictures and ideas throughout the day.
The essential space will complement with all your thoughts and ideas. PERHAPS
See some shoes you like? Open the camera and use the dedicated button of the essential space space on the phone side to save a blow – along with your sound marking for them – in your space. Should you buy brie, vodka, party hats and snake food along the way home? A long button press will allow you to dictate your shopping list to add it to your space to check later.
It is a beautiful idea in theory, though it now seems limited to its functionality. The essential space is essentially a center for screens views and sound notes, but I see its potential. Refreshing rests to find a feature that is both unique and really useful. Nothing points out that the essential space is still in beta, with more features on the road – so keep an eye in this space.

Nothing phone 3a Pro Camera
Both phones pack the 50 megapixel main cameras and while nothing says that the pro model has improved authorization and dynamic range, I have not yet been able to compare them, so my thoughts here are based on my use of phone 3a pro.

While base 3a packs a 50 megapixel telephoto camera capable of 2x optical enlargement, 50 megapixel 3A Pro Camera Provides an optical magnification 3x, with a 6x “sensor”, which effectively grips the sensor to achieve a longer magnification.

The 3A base phone has a 32 megapixel camera and 3A Pro has a 50 megapixel sensor that is bigger to help get the sharper shooting.

Testing of the pro -camera of the pros was the perfect justification to get a big beer. The image itself is good, especially considering the environment relatively low light.
Nothing phone 3a, 3a pro or a rival phone?

I am surprised by how few differences there are between the two models. With the same processor, screen and 5,000mah battery (with 50W fast charging), the main differences are the added increase in periscope and the higher resolution front camera. Is the picture important to you? If so, maybe spring for pros. Otherwise, save yourself a few dollars and go for the basic model.
Both phones appear to offer a sustainable overall experience at a really reasonable price. With $ 379, it’s a lot for a phone that can handle almost everything – especially when Apple considers $ 599 affordable for the iPhone 16e. However, if you do not need a new phone immediately, it may be worth waiting to see how Samsung -II just announced the Galaxy A26 and A36 Stack Up, or if Google Pixel is just around the corner.
